Relations between Trump and the EU
Western media have reported that the EU feared sharp decisions from Donald Trump after his return to the White House. For instance, Trump threatened to impose additional tariffs on EU member states. Brussels declared its readiness to respond to such actions.
Additionally, the US president accuses European countries of spending less money on aid to Ukraine in its war with Russia.
Moreover, Trump demands that other NATO members, most of whom are also EU members, increase their defense spending to 5% of GDP.
