Protests in US

Mass protests swept across the US after Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents killed two US citizens in Minnesota. On January 8, 37-year-old Renee Good was killed by an ICE agent's bullet, and on January 24, 37-year-old nurse Alex Pretti became a victim.

US President Donald Trump accused the Minnesota state authorities of inciting the population to riot and attack immigration service employees.

On January 31, mass protests against the Trump administration's immigration policy took place in major US cities.

In Minneapolis, despite the cold weather, protesters gathered outside the federal government building, chanting "ICE out!"

In New York's Foley Square, protesters held signs reading protesting ICE is not a crime and justice for all victims of ICE terror.

In Atlanta, Georgia, protesters beat drums and chanted that immigrants are welcome here.

In downtown Los Angeles, a crowd of thousands gathered near City Hall, where some protesters climbed onto the building with flags and posters.
