On the night of July 16–17, occupied Crimea, Berdiansk, and the Black Sea were once again targeted by drone attacks. Following strikes on many sites, fires were again reported, according to the pro-Ukrainian Telegram channel Crimean Wind and other public groups.
The drone attack on Crimea began around 9:40 p.m. and continued until morning. During that time, explosions were heard in at least Kerch, Simferopol, Feodosia, and Yevpatoria.
By morning, OSINT channels had already reported that a large number of fires had been detected at the Kerch railway station. NASA's FIRMS service confirms this information. According to preliminary data, the following may be on fire:
- Warehouses
- Trains on the tracks
- Possibly, the Kerch oil depot and the Kerchenska electrical substation.

In addition, monitoring channels detected a fire near the village of Shchebetivka in the vicinity of the Koktebel electrical substation.
There were also reports that drones may have struck energy infrastructure in Berdiansk last night, causing a fire, and that tankers in the Black Sea were hit again. Preliminary reports indicate that approximately 6–7 vessels of Russia’s shadow fleet were attacked.
