Drone attack sets Russia's Novorossiysk port and terminal ablaze

Overnight on September 9, unmanned drones attacked Novorossiysk in Krasnodar Krai, Russia - a large-scale fire broke out in the area of port infrastructure, according to monitoring Telegram channels Astra and Dnipro Osint.
In the early hours of September 9, an air raid alarm sounded in Novorossiysk - eyewitnesses captured on video a large-scale fire and a series of explosions in the city.
The fire broke out in the area of port infrastructure.
According to the monitoring channel Dnipro Osint, Ukrainian defense forces attacked facilities on the port territory - at least one fuel oil terminal tank was hit. Local air defense attempted to repel the drone attack.

Novorossiysk Mayor Andrey Kravchenko confirmed only the fact of repelling a drone attack. No official information about destruction or casualties has been reported so far.
Due to drone attacks, leading container carrier MSC suspended bookings to the port of Novorossiysk - the company refused to work with the key Russian port hub.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that the operation of this port complex is currently maintained at a minimal level - shipments have practically stopped.
Moreover, near Novorossiysk and Tuapse, drones have already attacked at least five grain vessels - this occurred against the backdrop of intensified Ukrainian strikes on Russia's Black Sea logistics.
