On the morning of December 21, Russians reported a drone attack on Kazan. A powder factory is located there, which is crucial for Russia's military-industrial complex, Andriy Kovalenko, Head of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation, reports.

"There is the Kazan powder factory in the city, which is one of the key enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex, specializing in the production of explosives, missile fuels, and other components critical to the Russian army," Kovalenko said.

Why this factory is important

As Kovalenko explained, this factory provides the Russian forces with ammunition and materials necessary for producing missiles of various classes and purposes, including Kalibr, Iskander, and others.

"Overall, the Kazan powder factory is one of the 'backbones' of Russia's military-industrial complex, without which serial ammunition production would be impossible," noted the Center for Countering Disinformation.
