Rescuers extinguished fires that broke out after a Russian drone attack on the Odesa region during the night of August 31, according to a post on the Telegram channel of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

According to rescuers, one person was injured as a result of the massive Russian attack. Fires also broke out at energy infrastructure facilities, and private residential buildings with storage premises were damaged.

"Firefighters, together with volunteers, quickly extinguished the fires," the SES noted.

Rescuers also released photos and video of their work extinguishing the fires caused by the enemy attack.

Drone attack on Odesa and Dnipropetrovsk regions

On the night of August 31, the Russian army attacked Odesa region with strike drones. According to Odesa regional governor Oleh Kiper, the city of Chornomorsk came under attack. The drones damaged energy infrastructure, leaving the city without electricity.

In addition, explosions were heard that night in Dnipropetrovsk region. After military warnings about incoming Russian drones, blasts were reported in Pavlohrad. This is the second time in two days that the city has come under enemy attack.
