Donetsk People’s Republic former minister nearly hit by explosive package in Moscow

An explosion occurred in the house of the former head of the Ministry of State Security of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Andrey Pinchuk, in the village of Shchapovo in New Moscow. According to Russian media, he received a booby‑trapped package, according to Astra.
What happened
On June 12, an explosion went off in Pinchuk's house in Shchapovo. According to TASS, a courier delivered a package to him, after which the detonation occurred.
In the photo from the scene, a vehicle with the logo of the marketplace Ozon can be seen.
The explosion blew out the windows and doors of the house.

Pinchuk assured that he managed to hide behind armored doors and suffered only a mild concussion. His family was in another building at the time of the explosion. Meanwhile, the Telegram channel VChK-OGPU reported that he was hospitalized.
Who is Pinchuk?
Andrey Pinchuk is an FSB colonel and one of the key participants in Russian aggression against Ukraine. From July 2014 to March 2015, he headed the Ministry of State Security of the Donetsk People’s Republic — a terrorist group in occupied Donbas. It is noteworthy that he assumed the position of minister on July 17, 2014 — the day Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 was shot down over the Donetsk region.

Before that, Pinchuk took part in the annexation of Crimea and moved to occupied Donetsk. In 2022, he commanded the Center unit during the battles for Izium; in 2023–2025, he commanded the BARS‑13 unit during the battles for Bakhmut and Chasiv Yar.
The assassination attempt on Pinchuk is the third high‑profile incident in just a few days. On June 9, a car exploded in the Moscow region — the victim is reported to be a lieutenant general of the Russian army. The explosion occurred 400 meters from the spot where another general was killed a year earlier. On the same day, another car exploded in southwestern Moscow.
