Bacon is processed meat often preserved with artificial ingredients such as nitrites, sodium nitrates, and sodium phosphate. These substances contribute to accelerated aging, damage to blood vessels, and the risk of breast and prostate cancer.

Overall, consuming a large amount of red processed meat is associated with an even higher risk of diseases.

Milkshakes

They are very sweet and make for an ideal dessert on a hot day. However, it's worth knowing that these drinks lack nutritional value. They often contain a lot of added sugar, contributing to an increased risk of diabetes and heart disease.

Additionally, they contain a high amount of saturated fats, which can lead to elevated cholesterol levels and heart problems.

Coffee whiteners

Often, the first three ingredients on the packaging are water, sugar, and vegetable oil. Coffee whiteners may also contain synthetic additives such as mono- and diglycerides. Although monoglycerides are safe in small amounts, they also contain trans fats.

According to the National Medical Library, trans fats can potentially increase cholesterol levels and the risk of developing heart disease and diabetes.

Diet sodas

Artificial colors, antipyrines, and fake sugars are ingredients in your favorite diet sodas. Almost all popular diet sodas contain aspartame, an artificial sweetener developed for weight loss.

Recent findings indicate that aspartame increases glucose levels, burdens the liver, and converts excess into fat. Research has also shown that aspartame raises the risk of cancer.

Store-bought dough

Using ready-made dough may save you time but does not contribute to health. Popular brands on store shelves often include two preservatives banned in some European countries and regular flour as the main ingredient.

Margarine

The creamy taste is not inherent to margarine, so it is artificially achieved by adding vegetable oils. Most commonly, palm oil is used, which has a high content of saturated fats - over 13 grams in just two tablespoons. Studies show that palm oil affects the development of cardiovascular diseases.

Bouillon cubes

Once again, the main villain here is palm oil. Scientists' analysis has shown that this fat significantly increases the levels of low-density lipoproteins, or "bad" cholesterol, compared to low-saturated fat vegetable oils. This is very harmful to all systems of the body's health.
