According to the expert, before trying any diet, one must be sure that everything is in order with your body. It is necessary to determine the reason why your weight is increasing and you cannot get rid of it.

The nutritionist named popular diets and their consequences on the body which few talk about:

  • Juice diet - overeating, disruption of metabolism in the body, decreased efficiency
  • Gluten-free diet - it is not effective for weight loss and does not improve the well-being and health of people who do not have diseases related to increased sensitivity to it
  • Keto diet - liver and kidneys suffer, the pH of the body's internal environment changes
  • Paleo diet - fatigue, overeating, and worsened hair condition may occur
  • Intermittent fasting - overeating occurs, and the risk of cardiovascular diseases increases
  • Low-calorie diet or nutrition - muscle mass is quickly lost, metabolism decreases, there's a big chance of overeating, and later fat mass of the body quickly increases

How to lose weight

If you want to lose weight, you need to consult a dietitian to examine and help develop an individual dietary plan, as they will take into account your metabolism level, health condition, and other important factors.

The ideal diet that does not harm the body is one where no more that several kilograms are lost per month. For greater effectiveness, proper nutrition can be combined with sports, which will help not only gradually lose weight but also strengthen muscles and give your body a healthy toned appearance.

The most dangerous diets for weight loss are considered those that promise rapid weight loss (5-10 kg) in 1-2 weeks. The diet may be effective, but in most cases, those same kilograms quickly return.
