Delicious and simple doughnuts with cherries
Cherry doughnuts are eay to make and would be a great addition to your Christmas table. You can use not only canned cherries but also other berries that you prefer for the filling, according to the YouTube channel Kulinarochka (Chef Girl - ed.).
Ingredients
For the starter, prepare the following ingredients in advance:
- Milk - 250 ml
- Sugar - 1 tsp
- Dry yeast - 7 g
- Flour - 4 tbsp
For the dough, you will need:
- Chicken eggs - 1 pc.
- Vanilla sugar - 10 g
- Flour - 450 g
- Sugar - 60 g
- Oil - 40 ml
- Salt - 5 g
For the filling, you will need:
- Canned cherries - 400 g
- Sugar - 5 tbsp
Directions:
Warm up the milk, add sugar, dry yeast, and mix. Then add flour and mix again. The starter should be like thick sour cream. Cover with film and leave for 30 minutes in a warm place.
Beat the egg with sugar, vanilla sugar, and a pinch of salt. Add oil to the egg mixture and mix. Add the starter and mix with a whisk.
Add the flour to the dough little by little. Put the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with film, and leave for 1.5-2 hours.
Roll out the dough into a layer about 1 centimeter thick. Cut out circles with a glass, add the filling, sprinkle with sugar. Pinch the dough together and round the doughnuts.
Fry in well-heated oil for 7-10 minutes. Decorate the finished dumplings with powdered sugar.
