Danish Prime Minister hospitalized after attack: Latest on her condition
Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen was taken to the hospital after an attack. Her health condition is not in danger, reports DR.
As reported by the Danish government, Mette Frederiksen was taken to Rigshospitalet after the incident.
She sustained minor injuries from the attack by a man but was deeply shocked.
Today, the Prime Minister was scheduled to participate in several events in Herlev, Rødovre, Roskilde, Holbæk og Slagelse. Due to the incident, she has canceled them.
It is expected that today the assailant, whom the police detained yesterday, will face legal measures.
What is known about the attack
Recall that on June 7, the Danish government and local media reported an attack on Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen. It occurred in the evening in one of Copenhagen's squares.
As known, a 39-year-old man struck Frederiksen. As mentioned earlier, the Prime Minister did not suffer serious injuries but was in a state of shock.
