Late meals, alcohol, and heavy makeup are not good for your skin. So you need to know how to help it recover.

Keep your body hydrated

According to cosmetologist Olha Pozdniakova, you should drink warm water on an empty stomach and throughout the day. Warm water:

  • helps to remove toxins
  • speeds up metabolism and promotes weight loss
  • improves blood circulation
  • slows down the aging process

Drink plenty of water in the new year to help flush out toxins and keep your skin smooth. Use a rich, nourishing moisturizer to maintain a strong barrier against the cold, dry air.

Intermittent fasting

Do not rush into diets, it is better to start with intermittent fasting (10 hours for meals, 14 hours for breaks). This will gradually unload the body after the holidays and you should make sure that your diet is balanced.

Sweets should be replaced with fruits, salads with mayonnaise with fresh vegetables, and alcoholic cocktails with herbal tea.

Move more

Walking in the fresh air and physical activity gives you energy and stimulates your brain. Sports quickly invigorate and cheer you up.

Get enough sleep

Late sleep has a negative impact on the body and accelerates aging. Try to go to bed earlier.

Lymphatic drainage techniques

Massage your face in the morning, for example, while washing your face.

Before moisturizing, the skin needs to be cleaned and toned. An alcohol-free toner or herbal infusion will do the trick.

Also, light morning vibrations lasting 2 minutes will be beneficial for the whole body. You need to lie on your back on a flat surface, raise your arms and legs up, and do light vibrations. Start with 30 seconds daily, gradually increasing the time.

If you have dry or dehydrated skin, you should use nighttime fabric masks. If you don't like cloth masks for some reason, clay or mineral masks are a great alternative.

Exfoliation is key to brightening the skin and restoring its natural glow. Use a gentle exfoliator to cleanse the skin without causing irritation. Avoid over-exfoliation by exfoliating once or twice a week.
