Shannen Doherty, the star of Beverly Hills 90210 and Charmed, who had been battling breast cancer since 2015, has died, reports The People.

According to Doherty's publicist Leslie Sloan, the actress passed away on Saturday, July 13.
"It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the passing of actress Shannen Doherty. On Saturday, July 13, she lost her battle with cancer after many years of fighting the disease," the publicist said.
"The devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend was surrounded by her loved ones as well as her dog, Bowie. The family asks for their privacy at this time so they can grieve in peace," Sloan continued.

Doherty was born on April 12, 1971 in Memphis, Tennessee. From an early age, she showed her acting skills by participating in school productions.
Since the age of 11, Shannen has been acting in small roles in such TV shows as Voyagers and Father Murphy.
