Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 teams up with Squid Game for 2025 crossover
The global phenomenon The Squid Game will soon appear in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 as part of the franchise's ever-expanding list of collaborations. Players will soon be able to experience the world of the famous Netflix series in a completely new way, although the exact details are still being kept secret, according to the GameSpot website, which specializes in news, reviews, articles, and videos related to video games and the entertainment industry.
In a short teaser, Activision showcased a Black Ops 6 operator picking up the iconic brown card from Squid Game, featuring the circle, triangle, and square symbols. The crossover is confirmed for January 2025, aligning perfectly with the second season of Squid Game, set to premiere on Netflix on December 26.
Although the teaser doesn’t reveal specifics, the collaboration is expected to include cosmetic items and at least one operator skin inspired by the series. This content may be part of a paid bundle or unlockable during an in-game event.
Last year, Modern Warfare 3 featured major crossovers, including WWE superstars, characters from The Boys, and elements from franchises like Fallout and Dune. These collaborations ranged from free content to paid bundles.
