How it works in practice:
- If you have one cat, you need two litter boxes.
- If you have two cats, you should provide three litter boxes.
- For three cats, you will need four litter boxes, and so on.
The secret to proper placement
Jackson Galaxy warns about another common mistake: placing all litter boxes together in the same room is not a good idea. Litter trays should be located in different areas of the home.
The expert describes litter boxes as "kings of odor absorption." For cats, they represent the privacy and security of their personal territory.
