Following the assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump, President Joe Biden expressed gratitude to the Secret Service for safely evacuating Trump. Biden also called for condemning the assassination attempt, according to the statement on his X post.

Biden wrote that he was informed about the shooting at Trump's rally in Pennsylvania.

"I’m grateful to hear that he’s safe and doing well. I’m praying for him and his family and for all those who were at the rally, as we await further information," the president wrote.

According to him, there should be no place for such violence in America. "We must unite as one nation to condemn it," Biden emphasized.

On July 13, an attempt was made on Trump during a rally in Pennsylvania. After shots rang out, security personnel shielded the former president and escorted him off the stage.

It was later revealed that Trump sustained a minor gunshot wound. One spectator and the attacker were reported dead.

According to his press service, Trump is doing well.
