Biden has skin cancer removed from his forehead: Details of surgery

Former US President Joe Biden underwent Mohs surgery to remove a cancerous tumor from the skin on his forehead, The Hill reports.
According to Biden’s representative, the operation was performed using the Mohs method - a specialized surgical approach in which tissue is removed layer by layer, with each layer examined for cancer cells until the tumor is completely eliminated.
Today, this technique is considered one of the most effective treatments for non-melanoma skin cancer, as it allows doctors to preserve as much healthy tissue as possible.

The spokesperson emphasized that the operation was successful.
Recently, a video circulated on social media showing Biden leaving a church in Delaware with a visible scar on his forehead, sparking questions about his health.
This is not Biden’s first battle with skin cancer. While in the White House, he had non-melanoma growths removed, and in 2023, doctors excised a cancerous lesion from his chest.
In addition, in May 2025, Biden announced that he had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that had spread to his bones. Nevertheless, he continued to make public appearances afterward.
On May 31, 2025, Joe Biden made his first public statement following the prostate cancer diagnosis earlier that month.
The former President did not comment on the Trump administration or political news, but stressed the importance of unity in the military despite the nation’s political divisions.
