The U.S. Department of Justice has accused President Joe Biden of knowingly storing classified documents in unprotected locations at his residences in Virginia and Delaware, according to Bloomberg.

It is noted that federal investigators working for special prosecutor Robert Hur have found President Biden's behavior to be improper, but they have not chosen to accuse him.

"Our investigation uncovered evidence that President Biden willfully retained and disclosed classified materials after his vice presidency when he was a private citizen," the nearly 400-page report states.

However, investigators concluded that the evidence does not establish Biden's guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. According to the special prosecutor, unlike Biden, Trump did not attempt to cooperate with the investigation and refused to hand over classified documents, which is why legal proceedings against him are ongoing.

The materials found in Biden's homes include documents marked with secrecy classifications related to military and foreign policy in Afghanistan, as well as notebooks containing handwritten notes about classified sources and intelligence-gathering methods.

In a statement, Richard Sauber, Biden's special counsel, said the White House is satisfied with the conclusion of the investigation.

"We disagree with a number of inaccurate and inappropriate comments in the special counsel’s report. Nonetheless, the most important decision the special counsel made — that no charges are warranted — is firmly based on the facts and evidence," Sauber said.

Biden's secret documents

Earlier, it was reported that 10 secret documents dating from 2013 to 2016 were discovered in the offices of the Biden Diplomacy and Global Engagement Center at the University of Pennsylvania. These documents contained information about Ukraine, Iran, and the UK.

Additionally, secret documents were found multiple times in the residence of U.S. President Joe Biden in Wilmington. In total, over 20 documents marked secret were found.

In response, Biden stated that he was surprised by this discovery and noted that he is unaware of the content of the documents.
