Baku prepares to file complaint against Russia at International Court over plane crash

As Russia continues to try to divert attention from the plane crash in Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan is preparing an appeal to an international court, according to APA.
Even after the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan released its first report on the plane crash, Russia continues to be biased in its approach to the incident.
Plane crash
According to the preliminary report, the Embraer 190-100 IGW aircraft, while flying from Baku to Grozny, lost its GPS signal in Russian airspace.
After the aircraft was unable to re-land over Grozny due to unfavorable weather conditions, it was decided to return to Baku. After that, two extraneous noises were recorded with an interval of 24 seconds:
- 4 seconds after the first extraneous sound, the third hydraulic system failed;
- 6 seconds later, the first hydraulic system failed;
- 21 seconds later, the second hydraulic system failed.
“Numerous punctures and blind holes were found in the fuselage of the aircraft, photos and videos were taken. These damages were found in large numbers in the rear of the fuselage, especially on the vertical and horizontal stabilizers, as well as on the left wing and left engine,” APA writes.
The identities of those who gave the order to fire and those who opened fire are known to the Azerbaijani side.
The APA adds that Azerbaijan's conditions are clear and have already been voiced at the highest level. In particular, Baku has parts of the Pantsir-S missiles that shot down the plane.
“The evidence base is being formed, facts and evidence are being collected, and preparations are underway to appeal to the international court. However, the door to dialogue with Russia is open. Moscow must openly admit its guilt and take responsibility,” APA said.
