ATESH partisan group carried out a successful sabotage operation on the new Volnovakha-Mariupol railway section in the Donetsk region. This significantly weakened Russia's defensive capabilities on the front line, according to the ATESH.

The ATESH partisan movement continues to effectively disrupt the logistics infrastructure of the Russian forces in the temporarily occupied territories.

One of their recent successful strikes was sabotage on the Taganrog-Mariupol railway line, built by the Russians to supply the front.

They damaged critical equipment on the Volnovakha-Mariupol section, causing the signaling system to fail and disrupting train traffic.

Strategic importance of Taganrog-Mariupol railway

Recently, the Taganrog-Mariupol line became part of a new logistics network.

The Russians intended to use it to quickly and more safely deliver fuel, equipment, and ammunition directly to the front line, bypassing the Crimean Bridge.

It ensures supply from Rostov-on-Don to Mariupol, vital for supporting combat operations in the southern direction.

Consequences of sabotage

Damage to the infrastructure caused significant disruptions in railway operations, disorganized logistics chains, and increased the vulnerability of Russian forces. Now they are forced to seek alternative, riskier routes to transport critical resources.

How long repairs to take

According to Petro Andriushchenko, the railway damage is minor.

However, he noted that restoring railway operations could take several days. Given the limited availability of necessary equipment among Russian forces, repairs might take up to two weeks.

Continued attacks on Russian key points

The ATESH movement emphasizes that each such operation significantly weakens Russia’s combat capabilities. Striking railway logistics is a key way to reduce the efficiency of the army and accelerate the liberation of Ukrainian territories.

Recently, partisans destroyed a vehicle equipped for drone and electronic warfare in the Henichesk district.

They also uncovered vulnerabilities in the defense of Balaklava Bay in Crimea.
