Oil depot Albashneft in Krasnodar Krai, Russia, was attacked on the night of February 5, Andriy Kovalenko, Head of Ukraine`s Center for Counteracting Disinformation, reports.

According to Kovalenko, the oil depot belongs to a refinery that can process up to 320,000 tons of oil annually. Its main products include:

  • straight-run gasoline;
  • diesel fuel;
  • fuel oil.

All of these are supplied to the Russian Armed Forces.

"This is another logistical object of the Russian army," the Head of Ukraine`s Center for Counteracting Disinformation added.

Strikes on Russian territory

During the full-scale war, Ukraine has begun carrying out strikes on Russian territory, using drones and missiles to target objects deep within the country.

These actions aim to limit the logistical capabilities of the Russian army and reduce its combat potential. In response to Ukrainian strikes, Russia has intensified missile attacks on Ukrainian territory, targeting critical infrastructure, including energy systems and gas facilities.

That night, there were reports of explosions in Krasnodar Krai amid an airstrike. A fire broke out at the oil depot located near the Kaniv district due to the drone strike.
