Air defense forces down 12 Shaheds overnight: Russian drones shelling Ukraine
Russia launched 15 kamikaze drones into Ukraine overnight on March 9. Air defense forces destroyed 12 Shaheds, according to the Ukrainian Air Force in Telegram.
The occupiers launched Shaheds from Chauda (Crimea) and Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia).
Air defense operated within the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Poltava regions. Our defenders managed to destroy 12 out of 15 drones.
Zenith rocket units of the Air Force and mobile fire groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the attack.
What else is known about the night attack
The Ukrainian Air Force reported the launch and movement of enemy drones from the evening of March 8. Air alarm spread to parts of Ukraine, including the east, north, and center.
Explosions were heard during the air alarm in the area of Kryvyi Rih.
Later, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration announced that five drones were shot down over the Kryvyi Rih region this night. However, there were hits on an enterprise, resulting in a fire.
According to local authorities, no one was injured as a result of the attack.
