A Su-57 fighter jet crashed in the Moscow region during a training flight, according to Russian Telegram channels.
The enemy aircraft fell in the area of the Moskva River.
It is claimed that the pilot managed to eject and no one was injured.
The cause of the Russian aircraft crash is currently unknown.
What is known about the Russian fighter jet
The Su-57 is a Russian fifth-generation multirole fighter jet developed by the Sukhoi company. Its first flight took place in 2010, while serial production began only several years later after delays in the program.
The aircraft is designed to gain air superiority and strike ground and maritime targets. Russia claims that the Su-57 allegedly features stealth technology, advanced avionics, and is capable of using a wide range of guided weapons.
Western experts have repeatedly questioned the actual level of its stealth capabilities and the pace of production.
Ukrainian forces recently destroyed a Russian MiG-29 fighter jet directly at an airfield in the Kursk region. The Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun system was also hit.
Earlier, special forces of the Omega Special Operations Center of Ukraine’s National Guard destroyed a Russian Su-24M bomber at the Saky military airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea.
