2026 Winter Olympics: Full competition schedule for February 5
February 5 competitions feature athletes from three sports (olympics.com)
Even though the Winter Olympics officially begin on Friday, February 6, athletes in some sports have already taken to the competition arenas and started competing for medals.
RBC-Ukraine explains which events are scheduled for Thursday, February 5.
Who competes on Thursday
Day -2 of the Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo took place the day before, featuring the first curling matches. On February 5, the first hockey games will be held, as well as the qualification in men’s snowboarding (Big Air).
Ukrainian athletes will not compete today.
Competition schedule for February 5:
11:05 a.m. — Curling, mixed doubles. Great Britain vs Estonia; Sweden vs Czechia; Norway vs USA; South Korea vs Italy.
1:10 p.m. — Women’s hockey. Sweden vs Germany.
3:35 p.m. — Curling, mixed doubles, preliminary round. Norway vs Canada; USA vs Switzerland.
3:40 p.m. — Women’s hockey. Italy vs France.
5:40 p.m. — Women’s hockey. USA vs Czechia.
8:05 p.m. — Curling, mixed doubles. Canada vs Italy; Switzerland vs South Korea; Estonia vs Sweden; Czechia vs Great Britain.
8:30 p.m. — Snowboarding, Big Air, men’s qualification.
10:10 p.m. — Women’s hockey. Italy vs Canada.
