Teen injured by cartridge explosion, rescuers report details

A teenager was injured in the Kharkiv region after an explosive device detonated, according to the Main Department of the State Emergency Service (SES) of Ukraine.
A 16-year-old boy was injured in an explosion in the village of Slobozhanske, Chuhuiv district, Kharkiv region.
According to preliminary information, the detonation was caused by an explosive object, reportedly a cartridge. The teenager sustained shrapnel injuries and was hospitalized.
The State Emergency Service (SES) reminded that explosive objects can pose a deadly threat.
"Do not touch, pick up, or attempt to move suspicious items. Immediately report any dangerous findings by calling 101 or 102. Dear parents, please ensure your children’s safety, explain to them the danger of mines and ammunition," the agency stressed.
Russian strikes on Chuhuiv
RBC-Ukraine earlier reported on a Russian Shahed drone attack on Chuhuiv, Kharkiv region, on September 24. One house was destroyed, and nearly 20 others were damaged.
Russian forces continue to regularly attack the Kharkiv region with drones, missiles, and air-dropped bombs. Chuhuiv has been targeted multiple times, including on August 22, when a strike hit a non-operational civilian facility, damaging empty warehouse buildings.
